Advanced Spine Associates, P.A. specializes in the treatment of spinal diseases, disorders and injuries. Our team environment offers a comprehensive approach for the delivery of health care to our patients.

Advanced Spine Associates offers a multidisciplinary approach to care for our patients utilizing the expertise, skills and knowledge of our spine surgeons, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

History

Dr. Garry Banks and Dr. David Kraker opened Advanced Spine Associates, P.A. (ASA) in 1998 and specialize in the treatment of spinal disorders.

ASA also has two Certified Physician Assistants: Sarla Persaud and Jessica Staples. PA's are highly trained providers that optimize patient care by assisting in surgery as well as evaluating and managing care for our spine patients. PA's are qualified to perform many of the same roles as a physician.

Our pain management department, Musculoskeletal Pain Intervention, is comprised of Dr. Sherif Roushdy and Danielle Black, CNP. Our pain team evaluates and manages chronic pain for our patients utilizing surgical and non-surgical treatment.

Core Physical Therapy includes one physical therapist, Heidi Gastler and one physical therapist assistant, Sonia Backer. Core Physical Therapy offers a comprehensive treatment program including work conditioning, functional capacity evaluations, physical performance testing, therapeutic procedures and activities, electrical stimulation and Med-X.

In 2004 ASA opened a medical facility in Spring Lake Park that allows the various disciplines to provide medical care on a single campus to offer comprehensive pain management treatment to patients with spinal disorders.
